Rent a Timeshare Service Review and Giveaway! Ended!

Congratulations to Hannah!!

Before I get into my review, here is how RedWeek describes their service:

Timeshare Rentals, Resales and Exchanges
Travelers come to to rent or buy timeshare units directly from owners, often at tremendous savings compared with hotels or dealing with the resort itself. No middleman, and no tours. Ever.
Timeshare owners post their units for rent or sale to an audience of over 1.5 million registered users. No commission, no middlemen.

Now for my take on it. RedWeek offered me a free one-year subscription to their service so I could learn more about it and review it.  When I travel, I actually really prefer to rent a timeshare type accomodation in large part because of the kitchen or kitchenette that is generally included.  Though eating out can be fun on vacation, I do not like having to if I do not want to because it can get pretty expensive.  Also, I can then bring "home" leftovers when I do go out to eat because I have a way to store and re-heat them.  Also, timeshare facilities also tend to be on the larger side, so I can bring other people along at no additional expense.  Therefore when they asked me to review their service, I was quite interested since I had already experienced the benefits of timeshare rentals.

Now I do not own a timeshare, so the listing feature would not be one I would use. But the renting feature is definitely one I would be interested in.  There was a relatively narrow window from the time I was given the membership and when I needed to review it. Therefore my experience with the service is sort of limited to the search feature.  There definitely seem to be some really good deals on there (which has been my experience with renting timeshares on the whole), but of course it really depends on when and where you want to go.  Popular destinations such as Orlando, tend to have more spots available than a resort in Wisconsin for example.  Whereas owning a timeshare has never been appealing to me, I do really enjoy renting them, so I would definitely search their site next time I want a little getaway.  I hope my review was helpful, though it was a bit narrow in scope.
