I got my bag today!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sooooo happy! The face products were pretty neutral and the nail product funky. The perfumes smelled fresh and clean. I loved that I could (sort of) do a whole look with this month's bag. In other words, Ipsy nailed it!

Omg! I am so frikkin tired of nail polish! Every month nail polish?! Come on now really? Ugh, I hate nail polish, but I always seem to get it and in the absolute ugliest, so wrong for my complexion shades! Enough with the nail polish already Ipsy!

DeleteYou should either review the products in your glam room or retake your beauty quiz. They will stop sending you items you rate the you don't like.

DeleteThe Julie G polish is amazing tho! Especially the textured ones, which are the ones we're getting, i believe! I have the entire Julie G collection & these stay on 4 a week....minimum!

DeleteI guess I'm a minority. I love trying new polish... and if it's the same color as another... I like to test them against each other and see which brand is better.

DeleteI'm sick of getting red lip shades! I even tried changing my ipsy profile and last month i ended up with the em red lipstick and the other red lip crayon. Yuck! I hope the NYX lipstick isn't red....
ReplyDeleteI will wear red but I sometimes wonder if they send out bolder colors to get you to try the formula but buy a different, more suitable color for day to day.

DeleteI am just so glad to be getting beyond the summer nikki minaj pink lip crayons. I don't know if ipsy sent a bunch out, but birchbox, glossybox, starlooks... everyone else did.
DeleteLOL at the Nikki Minaj pink crayons. I learned to work with them with a very light hand. And for the lipsticks in those shades, my lip brush saved the day!

ReplyDeleteYeah..I think IpsyMatch is still a work in progress. All of that said, I really like Ipsy a lot. And I actually rather enjoy getting shades, etc., that I would not get myself on a regular basis because it helps me discover new looks. For example, it is only because of my subscriptions that I really started to warm up (and then love) nude lipsticks. I have a lot of examples like that :-)

ReplyDeleteI've updated my beauty selections and they really don't pay attention to it. I'm always getting pink lipsticks, not anything darker. The Bzz Bzz nail polish to me is very ugly. I like Ipsy, but I wish they could send reds not pinks all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe Bzz Bzz is something different from anything I own, and its glittery, which I love. I think it is just impossible for Ipsy to please everyone, but I wish they would use there survey data more.
DeleteThis doesn't seem to be worth it anymore. I'll look at the quality of the December products when they get here, but let's be honest---they aren't paying attention to the reviews or quiz. I got two lipsticks in this and last months' bags and didn't mark those at all. It's like two wasted slots for me. I think that is just their go-to product when they don't have anything interesting because it seems like they are sending it out an awful lot. Luckily they aren't shipping those cheap eyelashes.
ReplyDeleteI definitely wish they would use the survey data more but honestly, I am really open when it comes to services like this. The value is definitely there for me though. It will be interesting to see if Ipsy refines their process in the coming months. Ipsy Match is still pretty new.
